Help Shape the Future of Cancer Nutrition.
HER Hope Nutrition is a survivor-led research initiative created by a HER2-triple positive breast cancer survivor diagnosed in 2025 and currently in remission.
My goal is to better understand the nutrition needs, challenges, and experiences of individuals affected by HER2-Positive, Triple Positive, and Triple Negative breast cancer.
Through this research, I hope to develop affordable, practical, and evidence-informed nutrition resources that can support patients throughout treatment, recovery, and survivorship.
Why This Research Matters?
Many individuals affected by breast cancer struggle to find nutrition guidance that is affordable, practical, and tailored to their unique diagnosis. While nutrition plays an important role in supporting health during treatment, recovery, survivorship, and long-term wellness, patients are often left searching through conflicting information online without clear guidance that relates to their specific needs.
Breast cancer is not the same for everyone. Individuals diagnosed with HER2-Positive, Triple Positive, or Triple Negative breast cancer may experience different treatments, side effects, concerns, and nutritional challenges throughout their journey. Factors such as chemotherapy, targeted therapies, hormone therapies, fatigue, digestive issues, appetite changes, weight fluctuations, and survivorship goals can all influence nutritional needs.
For many patients, the challenge goes beyond knowing what to eat. Some individuals are navigating treatment while living alone, caring for children, working, managing appointments, or coping with physical and emotional exhaustion. During these difficult times, planning meals, grocery shopping, and preparing nutritious food can become overwhelming.
As a breast cancer survivor myself, I understand how isolating this experience can feel. There were times when I wished I had access to simple, trustworthy nutrition guidance and convenient meal options that could support me through treatment and recovery.
Through this research initiative, I hope to better understand the real experiences, challenges, and priorities of patients and survivors. The information collected through this survey will help identify gaps in current nutrition support and guide the future development of:
✓ Affordable nutrition education resources
✓ Personalized meal planning tools
✓ Practical symptom-management nutrition strategies
✓ Wellness and survivorship support programs
✓ Future meal delivery and nutrition support services designed for patients who may not have the time, energy, support system, or ability to prepare nutritious meals during treatment
✓ Resources focused on long-term health, prevention, and quality of life
Every response contributes to a better understanding of what patients truly need, helping shape future solutions designed by a survivor, inspired by hope, and built with patients in mind.
💗 Because no patient should have to face cancer—or nutrition challenges—alone.
